New effective date must be greater than the last date of x, in Labor Distribution FOAPAL

Answer:

When submitting an ePAF for a future change that involves a funding (labor distribution) change which will occur before an existing funding change that is already in place in Banner, you will receive the error, “New effective date must be greater than the last date of x”.   The budget office will need to delete any funding changes subsequent to the change being submitted.   You will need to:

1. Hold the ePAF you were trying to submit

2. Send the following information to the appropriate budget office;

    Banner ID (R#), Position #, Jobs Effective Date of the ePAF you were trying to submit

            HSC Budget:    hscbud@ttuhsc.edu

            TTU Budget:    ambud@ttu.edu

3.   After the Budget office has deleted the future funding changes, you can submit the ePAF.

4.   If the future funding changes that had to be deleted are still needed, wait until the ePAF with the ‘interim’ funding change has been applied in the system.   Then submit a labor distribution change form for the additional future changes.
