Will they take Social Security and Medicare taxes from my paycheck twice a month?

Answer:  Yes, Social Security and Medicare taxes withholding are mandatory deductions and are proportional to the earnings for a given pay period. The current rates for Social Security and Medicare taxes withholding are 6.2% and 1.45% respectively.   Employer matches the same percentages on employee’s behalf as well.
